With deep love and gratitude for her life, the family of Shelby Jean Paschall Williams announces her peaceful transition on December 1, 2025. Born on December 11, 1937, Shelby's 87 years were marked by unwavering devotion to her family, a generous spirit of service, and a steadfast faith that guided her every step.

Shelby married the love of her life, Travis Ray Williams, Sr., on March 17, 1956. Together they built a beautiful family and shared a life that took them across the country-calling Belhaven, NC; Virginia; New York; St. Louis; Alaska; and Washington, NC home at various times. Wherever she lived, Shelby created community, offering kindness, support, and a warm smile to everyone she met.

A woman of deep commitment and service, Shelby was a proud member of the Belhaven Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Washington Chapter No. 7 of the Eastern Star. She was also a Lifetime Member of the VFW 1503 Auxiliary and dedicated over 2,000 volunteer hours to Veterans' Affairs, honoring those who served with compassion and respect.

Shelby is preceded in death by her beloved husband Travis Ray Williams, Sr., and her cherished children Kenneth Baker Williams and Norma Jean Williams.

She leaves a legacy of love in the hearts of her surviving children:

Travis Ray Williams, Jr., Jerry Wayne Williams (Barbara), Janet Lee Bateman (Barry), Betty Sue Williams-Moore (Milton), Margaret Anne Ridgeway (Bernie), and James Edward Williams (Lisa).

She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry forward her laughter, her lessons, and her boundless love.

As a member of Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church, Shelby's life was a testament to faith, family, and service. Her gentle strength and generous heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday December 3, 2025 at Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Harris Ray Alligood.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service at the cemetery.

Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven is honored to serve the Williams family.
