The drooling sycophants in the remnants of the mainstream media are reporting that Barry is really, really, really, really, really sorry that people are getting their insurance policies cancelled - thanks to his pet monster:

President Barack Obama apologized Thursday to those Americans whose insurance plans are being canceled due to the federal health law he championed even though he said repeatedly they could keep their coverage if they liked.

"I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he told NBC News in an exclusive interview.

"We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this," he added.

Obama's comments come days after he attempted to clarify what he meant when he assured Americans in previous years that they would be able to keep their plans under the Affordable Care Act, a controversy that is prompting legislation in Congress to address it.

The man is acting like he seriously didn't expect this. Well, a friend of mine - an independent insurance broker - knew this was coming well before Ted Cruz started his defund crusade. My buddy told me - right about the time the defund fight started - he thought defunding ObamaCare would lead to an even bigger mess:

"If you defund ObamaCare, you will still have millions upon millions upon millions of people whose policies are getting cancelled at the end of this year. This has been in the works for years - since right after ObamaCare got passed. The law mandated it. Things are so far along - and it involves so many people - that it would be impossible to stop on a dime and do a one-eighty. With no money to fund ObamaCare, you will have all of these new people with no insurance at all - thanks to all of those policy cancellations."

So, if my friend in the insurance business here in Moore County knew this - why is it coming as a surprise to Barry Obama and his hench-person Kay Hagan?
