Charlie Kirk's Turning Points USA names Kidwell most conservative NC legislator

Turning Point Action, the political arm of Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA has named Keith Kidwell the most conservative member of the NC House with a conservative score of 100%. This follows other conservative organizations like Civitas also rating Kidwell the most conservative House member. Rep. Mark Brody (R-Union) and Rep. Mitchell Setzer (R-Catawba) tied for the honor. All three posted lifetime scores of 100%.

In the state senate, our local senator, Bob Brinson (R-Craven) received a score of 88.6%. Congressman Greg Murphy, who has represented Beaufort County, only received a score of 59.26% conservative for his votes in the present session, while our new congressman, Democrat Don Davis received a score of 35.19%.

Obviously looking forward to buyer’s remorse as the electorate has traded an icon of truth and selfless service for a future of the unknown- we lost, people- not only the election, but a future of true representation of our beliefs. The debate tried to make it obvious, but the voters didn’t take heed. How sad!

Unless you were asleep during the primary, Washingtonian, it was the SPECIAL INTERESTS who decided the primary with their half million dollars of dark money. They bought a legislator who refused to reveal where he stood on issues, other than his allegiance to Big Ag and RoundUp. I hope you like casinos all over the state, because one of the special interests pushing the RoundUp RINO were the casino interests. I hope you don't like fresh North Carolina shrimp, because one of the main dark money groups pushing Armstrong has very close ties to those who want to put our NC shrimp industry out of business. I also hope you don't like gun rights because the NRA rated Armstrong an "F" on gun issues.

This guy will probably make former RINO legislator Zeno Edwards look like a conservative.

So now we go from one of the most conservative members of the NC House to the RoundUp RINO, who is a wholly owned operative of the special interests who bought his seat for him. What a sad day for Beaufort County.
