GOP voters in Indiana oust 7 state senate RINOs and replace with Trunp backed conservatives | Eastern NC Now
betrayed GOP on congressional redistricting
Indiana Republican voters ousted 7 of the 8 RINOs targeted for defeat in the state senate primaries and replaced them by Trump=endorsed conservatives. In the 8th race, the RINO incumbent led slightly in a tossup race that has still not been called.
The issue that galvanized voters was the failure of these RINOs to vote for congressional redistricting in response to the California gerrymander. A wave of disgust by GOP voters swept out those who prevented the redistricting, which had already passed the State House..
Those defeated included one of the most powerful men in the Senate and several who had served for many years.
