"Did Not Have the Common Decency to Offer Us a Reach - Around"

These somewhat descriptive words were offered by Gunnery Sergeant / Drill Instructor Hartman, from the classic Vietnam War film, “Full Metal Jacket,” to his new recruits when discussing the demerits of one young private’s character. Gunny Hartman, played by the irascible R. Lee Ermey never equivocated when it came to his true feelings, and I suppose his character’s words fully illustrate my true feelings as to how we, American citizens, are being treated, yet rather unromantically, by the democrat controlled U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

The Heath Care Reform Bill is unequivocally the worst legislation ever written and almost passed in the United States Congress. In order to get it passed through the House and the Senate many bribes were offered and accepted by the Democrats in control of our legislative assembly in Washington, DC. In the Senate, we have the “Louisiana Purchase” buying off Democrat Mary Landrieu and the “Nebraska Cornhusker Kick-back” buying off Democrat Ben Nelson.

And then there were the Union bribes that are more recent, and consequently unknown by me when I wrote this resolution for passage by the county commission, and after its final passage with its revisions. The Union Bribes stipulate that all unions that can guarantee their members vote for Democrats in all elections, then the Democrat politicians will guarantee, through the Health Care Reform Bill, that the unions’ members will not have to pay the specified tax on their individual “Cadillac Health Insurance Plan,” because nonunion folks, and other small slumps, will pay that tax for them, while, of course paying their own.

This is Barak Osama’s “Change you can believe in.” His desire, along with his Democrat Congressional cohorts, is Two Americas: Those who vote for Democrats who hold office don’t pay taxes, and those who vote their conscience will pay the freight so liberals can continue to hold office.

Good deal for the Unions. Bad deal for Americans, whose principals will not allow themselves to be bought, but moreover, believe in “a nation of laws, rather than of men.”

North Carolina’s liberal Senator Kay Hagan votes the Two Americas ideology.

North Carolina’s liberal 1st District Congressman G. K. Butterfield votes the Two Americas ideology.

Will they act to now to insure that North Carolinians receive equal protection under the law. Below is a copy of the revised resolution that was sent to them, and all of our state representative as well. I plan to keep tabs on their willingness to help Beaufort County taxpayers, all other North Carolinians.

If you’re like me, and have paid some hefty dues in this life, or as you grow older, are preparing to pay your part of the freight, you probably don’t relish this opportunity of taking it in the proverbial shorts either. Might I suggest becoming more active and for America’s sake: Become an individual and then come together with the rest of us to respect our United States Constitution. These liberals in U.S. Congress and the White House are such narcissist, they are just as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman barked to his young recruits when now discussing the demerits of these lost Democrats’ character, “Did Not Have the Common Decency to Offer Us a Reach - Around”
