BCN's December Numbers: Onward, Upward | Eastern North Carolina Now

'Now don't be sad 'Cause three out four ain't bad'

This variation on the Jim Steinman song "Two out of Three Ain't Bad" tune, written for Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell album, best exemplifies BCN's December traffic report after experiencing it's best month ever in November, 2013. This Meatloaf melody about unrequited love, where the young girl gets everything that Mister Loaf has to give except love, may be a poor anecdote for a promising publication exceeding 3 of its 4 traffic targets, but I like the song, and it's the best intro I could come up with for the moment.

It was another good month, where by exceeding these targets, we were able to grow, and succeed by serving the informational interests of patrons - old and new. It has long been our goal to first to provide a valuable service, proved by a growing patronage. Secondly it will be our purpose to sustain this effort by seeking sponsors through the purchase of space upon BCN, and to additionally provide for the cyber communication needs of the wise, our web services by our parent company, Symbiotic Networks, Inc.

So 'three out of four ain't bad', when it comes to meeting the metrics of an ascending pattern of traffic, and to further express this immutable fact, we offer this data here below.

Milestones for Beaufort County NOW: Our Growing Readership in December, 2013

     •   Most Unique IPs visiting BCN per day - 2,759    - 93.36% increase over the last 11 months.

     •   2nd Most Unique Page Views per day - 14,490    - 143.18% increase over the last 11 months.

     •   Most Hits per day - 170,361    - 168.87% increase over the last 11 months.

     •   Most Files accessed per day - 157,135    - 166.67% increase over the last 11 months.

     •   Reached the significant milestone of 1,100 posts in BCN with a minimum of 1,100 unique views proving that BCN is a very large, very well read site. The next milestone, in this vein of logic, will be BCN achieving 1,200 posts in BCN with a minimum of 1,200 unique views each.
