Pollsters try to align with what the rest of us already knew | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Never fails. The left-wing Public Policy Polling is backtracking. Just last week they were reporting that Thom Tillis was going to win the GOP Primary in a cakewalk. Now they're saying, the day before election day, that Greg Brannon has "the momentum" and that Tillis will, at best, get into a runoff. This same group, as is true with many of the left-wing polling organizations play the same card a few days in advance of the election trying to make everyone who is not likely to vote for their darling should just sit it out. Then, just before the last minute they project a "swing" in the voters and low and behold the conservative may just win this thing.

    Now we'll do our fearless forecast.

    We predict that across the country where voters will be voting tomorrow you will indeed see a major shift to the conservative candidates. We think it only a prelude to November where there will be an epic wave of return to sensibility.

    In North Carolina we expect Greg Brannon to win, if not outright at least to force a runoff. We are confident, perhaps because we want it to be so, that the unaffiliated voters will go conservative tomorrow.

    We don't have any way to know the numbers. But we are confident that the swing voters are fed up with the Establishment and they want change. To the extent that the campaigns have identified candidates that will adhere to fundamental conservative principles we think those candidates will do well.
