    On April 25, 2014, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received reports of two residential break-ins on Joyce Lane in Washington, NC. Multiple firearms were reported stolen from both residences. On May 5, 2014, the Sheriff's Office received a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Gray Road in Chocowinity. Firearms, a small safe, jewelry, currency and electronics were reported stolen from the scene.

    During the subsequent investigation, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office worked in conjunction with Detectives from the Pitt County Sheriff's Office. As a result of information shared during the joint investigation, Inv. Jeremy Landeck applied for and obtained warrants charging Vince Hodges, age 28, of Slatestone Road in Washington, NC and Cameron Campbell, age 21, of Magnolia Drive in Washington, NC with two counts each of Felony Breaking and Entering, two counts each of Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and two counts each of Larceny of a Firearm for the break-ins on Joyce Lane.

    Campbell was charged with Safe-cracking, Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny After Breaking and Entering, and Larceny of a Firearm for the break-in on Gray Road. Campbell was also charged with two counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses for the sale of two of the stolen firearms.

    Hodges and Campbell were served on May 22nd while being held in the Beaufort and Pitt County Detention Centers. Hodges was held on an additional $40,000.00 secured bond. Campbell was held on an additional $100,000.00 secured bond. Several of the firearms have been recovered during the investigation.

Clifton, I just read this post and I could not see the abject stupidity, dishonesty, thrown in with a measure of porkishness hcnkkk, hcnkkk, but I did not get the true stupid angle.

If you can give it to me, then these two may well qualify for 'Stupid as Charged'.

I used to ask how much more stupid people could get. I refuse to say this anymore as folks now accept it as a personal challenge.

On March 01, 2024, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Terrence Lamont Moore on several drug charges.

On October 9, 2023, Ashun Anthony, age 24 of Washington, NC was indicted by a Beaufort County Grand Jury for the crime of Death by Distribution in connection with the April 29, 2022 death of 31 year old Quintin Freeman
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a fugitive from justice.
