    Audrey Spain Goff, 74, passed away at her home Thursday, September 11, 2014.

    A service to celebrate her life and pay tribute to her memory will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 13 at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro. Friends are invited to visit the family 7:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, September 12 at Falkland Church of God and other times at the home.

    Audrey was born in Beaufort County to Dallas Richard Spain and Annie Woolard.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Dare Hathaway; two great-grandchildren, Kalel Xavier Barnes and Joshua Poole; five sisters: Dorothy, Stella, Coetie, Grace Woolard, and Lydia Dixon; and six brothers, Richard Franklin Spain, Elton Homer Spain, Burl L. Spain, Dallas Spain Jr., Alfred Lee Spain, and Dan Spain.

    She is survived by a wonderfully large and loving family that includes her devoted husband of 34 years, Jimmy Gray Goff;

    eight daughters: Angela Diann Barnes (John), Mary Frances Rose (Tony), Janice Faye Thompson (Johnny Jr.), Shirley Lynn Foreman (Donald), Linda Lou Pittman, (Jason), Melissa Hope Goff, Tracy Lynn Jones (Thomas), and Charity Dawn Goff.

    She also leaves four sisters, Virginia Spain Warren, Rosa Barfield, Grace Bland and Judy Mcgowan;

    five brothers: Devon Spain and Roger Spain, Bud Woolard, Calvin Woolard, and Billy Woolard.

    Audrey was especially proud of her twelve grandchildren:

    Jamie Lynn Turner, Sarah Jenine Godwin, John Christopher Barnes, Elisha Dare Chasse, Aimee Cassandra House, Dennis Michael Burk, Stacy Lynn Poole, Shelly Denise Rosenberry, Jennie Lou Hathaway, Johnny Lewis Thompson, III, Jason Gray Pittman, and Meagan Leigh Arrington.

    She was also blessed with twenty-nine great-grandchildren: Benjamin Mark Turner, Hannah Claire Turner, Jaydon West Gibson, Ethan Luke Barnes, Lydia Ruth Barnes, Chloe Catherine Barnes, Henry Christopher Barnes, Kenneth Robert Leonel Chasse, Jr., Ashley Nicole Creech, Nicholas Goldman Creech, Christopher Lee Chasse, Zachary Dale Chasse, Matthew Noah Chasse, Aubrey Chad House, Corbin Wyatt House, Anderson Michael Burk, Caleb Javien Davis, Mason Ray Poole, Katie Alyssa Poole, Christopher Poole, Chase Poole, Dylan Connor Rosenberry, Chloe Ann Cruz, Cameron Logan Hathaway, Mckenzie Lou Hathaway, Jackson Gray Pittman, Lilly Raye Pittman, Donnell Lorenzo Arrington, and Aleighya Bae Arrington; and one great-great-granddaughter, Hailee Grace Chasse.
