Gov. Jeb Bush Joins The Nation's Leading Small Business Advocate In Praising Tillis' Leadership

Greensboro, N.C.     Today, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation's leading advocate for small businesses, endorsed Thom Tillis for U.S. Senate. Tillis was joined by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, North Carolina NFIB state director Gregg Thompson, and Gordon Hunt, owner of Illuminating Technologies Inc. in Greensboro.

The NFIB has praised Tillis' tireless work as Speaker to promote policies that generate economic growth, create jobs, and expand opportunities for North Carolina middle-class families. Tillis' pro-small business, pro-growth record stands in stark contrast to Sen. Kay Hagan's record of rubber-stamping President Obama's big government agenda 96 percent of the time. Hagan has hurt small businesses by voting for ObamaCare, job-killing regulations and tax hikes, and has burdened American families and businesses with $7 trillion in additional debt.

"Washington needs more leaders like Thom Tillis," said Gov. Jeb Bush. "Thom understands pro-growth and limited government reforms are what will strengthen our economy and provide Americans with more opportunities. In the Senate, Thom's proven ability to work across party lines and produce results will benefit middle class families across our great nation."

"The NFIB is proud to endorse Thom Tillis as North Carolina's next U.S. Senator," said N.C. NFIB Director Gregg Thompson. "Thom is a courageous leader who will work in the Senate to get America's economy back on track again. He understands the critical role small businesses play in creating jobs and providing opportunities for growth. Thom's business background and leadership in the House proves his clear understanding of what it takes to provide more opportunities for all Americans."
