Jones Statement on Federal Judge's Injunction Against Obama's Unconstitutional Amnesty: | Eastern North Carolina Now

News Release:

WASHINGTON, D.C.      Today, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) gave this statement on Judge Andrew Hanen’s injunction against President Obama’s executive amnesty:

“President Obama’s executive amnesty is an outrageous overreach of executive authority. I applaud Judge Andrew Hanen for correctly interpreting the law and issuing an injunction against it,” said Congressman Walter Jones. “Obama’s executive amnesty is a flagrant abuse of the law and a slap in the face to the millions of law-abiding, out-of-work Americans and legal immigrants who are trying to bounce back in this sluggish economy. I have consistently voted to stop illegal immigration into this country and to stem the flow of benefits to those who have broken our immigration laws. I will continue to do everything I can to defend our borders and defend the rule of law.”
