I lived in NC while in graduate school 1967-70. I left until 1986 Raleigh would be nothing more than a capital cow town. Was I ever wrong!
Good ideas transformed woods and fields of the Research Triangle Park into a thriving industrial spot. The ECU Medical School was another game changer. Along with them came a stupid Education Lottery / tolling highways and ferries / fracking and offshore drilling.
I think we stand at a crossroad of preserving natural beauty or selling out to the Koch Brothers. Roy Cooper has proven himself to be the people's advocate as our AG. I know him personally and he has integrity far in excess of the current governor. I hope he becomes our next governor and we start progressing again . . .
