BCN's Movie Database: Brad Pitt | Eastern North Carolina Now

Publisher's note: To kick-off a fresh, new service, Movie Database, here in BCN, we are offering actor / director profiles - short in duration, but offering valuable links to informative posts and essential content - to better know the 'poor players' in the art of transferring story to celluloid.

Our reviewer of films, good and bad, Wyatt Sanderman Day, will be in charge of managing the actor / director profiles; however, if you have any interest in contributing a profile similar to the Wyatt Sanderman Day template, please join BCN as a member, send Stan Deatherage a private message, and we will consider your submission.

Wyatt Sanderman Day's note: Stan has asked me to work on this task to provide a discussion on the actors and to provide insight and avenue to BCN's newest database, this time movies /films, and I am happy to help, but we do it my way: that I take some of my favorite actors, and link to the reviews that I, and others may, have written of what they have directed; then we link to their database profile, and, or any other links that I see fit. That's about it, and to that end, I continue with one of my favorites - Brad Pitt.

Iconic actor Brad Pitt continues to play a plethora of roles broadening his repertoire, expanding his range as an actor as he grows into middle age. Handome to a fault as a young thespian, Actor Pitt has has found a creative balance between playing romantic leads to increasingly playing off beat characters that have no interest whatsoever in women, because, as the film's protagonist, there are larger issues afoot.

Brad Pitt was first noticed as the 'boy toy' bad boy in the Feminist anthem "Thelma and Louise", but now Actor/Producer Pitt acts in films that he picks, and more often than not, he plays extremely complex and conflicted humans, where their charater is tested and then foisted upon his audience in waves of humanity.

From the man living life in reverse in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", where he dealt with a myriad of sociological oddities to the human caricature of a World War II warrior, Lt. Aldo Raine, in the Jewish revenge fantasy "Inglourious Basterds", Actor Pitt brings a stark presence to his characters that draws his audience into his films. Recently, Actor Pitt portrayed another leader of men in the very realistic Was Film "Fury" regarding the last days of World War II as Germany fell to the advance of the Allies.

As Don 'Wardaddy' Collier, Brad Pitt portrayed a hardened veteran against a hardened enemy desperate to get his Sherman tank crew home from the war alive. It was one of Pitt's most convincing roles yet, proving that he still had quite of Actor's blood still coursing through his veins.

Come join us at our new Movie Database. We welcome you our latest feature to sort through film data to discover information on actors, directors, film images, or just what is playing, when it will pay, or when it did play. It is a work in progress, so we would appreciate your input.
