    On August 6, 2015 at approximately 11:57 AM the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of a possible Fraud at Southern Bank in Belhaven. Patrols Deputies responded and learned the suspects had tried to cash a fraudulent check. Upon further investigation Patrol Deputies learned of a Breaking, Entering and Larceny at a residence on Pamlico Beach Road in Belhaven.

    The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division and as a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Jason Hill applied for and obtained warrants charging Mr. Zachary Burbage, age 26, of Pine Tree Path in Bath and Mr. Stephen Foster, age 27, of Wilkins Road in Belhaven with one count of Felony Breaking and Entering, one count of Felony Larceny, one count of Identity Theft, one count of Uttering Forged Endorsement and one count of Attempting to Obtain Property by False Pretense each.

    On August 19, 2015, Mr. Burbage was arrested by Deputies and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $10,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Donald Sadler. Mr. Foster is currently still at large.

On 03/11/2023, Patrol Deputies assigned to the Aurora area served arrest warrants on Anthony Bragg, 32 years of age, of 1824 Bay City Road in Aurora.
On 02/7/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Shaquel Collins, 29 years of age, of 113 Days Inn in Washington.
