News Release:

As the NAACP prepares for this evening's Voter ID rally in Raleigh, it is important to know who is really behind challenges to NC's voting ID law.

The New York Times has reported that George Soros is single handily bankrolling voter ID opposition and Hillary Clinton's campaign lawyer is one of the lead lawyers in the case against North Carolina's voting law. Moreover, two former Department of Justice lawyers recently published an op-ed slamming the Obama Administration and its allies for challenging election laws in court for political advantage and to help them win elections.

"The Obama administration and its partisan, big-money, racial-interest-group allies will stop at nothing to win elections. And using the courts to change election rules is a key part of their strategy..."

George Soros, Hillary Clinton and their pro-union allies in North Carolina would like to see the common sense law overturned and sadly, the NAACP continues to push their talking points.

The truth is their opposition to North Carolina's voting law isn't about race or justice. Even after the law was enacted, African American voter turnout increased in 2014.

Their opposition to Voter ID is about making it easier for their union boss friends to bus their members in to North Carolina to cheat in our historically close elections and elect Roy Cooper and Hillary Clinton.
