Phil was head of flight operations for Johnson & Johnson until his retirement. His flying career with J&J was marked with thousands of flights to all parts of the United States and most of Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

After Phil's retirement he and Judie enjoyed a new life, a small boat, the peace and quiet of their home in Sergeantsville, NJ and later moving to Washington, NC and sailing the waters of the East Coast.
