The PODRIDE is a Personal Vehicle Alternative | Eastern North Carolina Now

This four wheel enclosed "BIKE" is designed to make local travel at low cost and provide an alternative to single person transportation in the cold climate of Sweden. Perhaps there is a use in some of the cities of the USA. The specifications are below. For the Metric impaired people like me 70 KG is about 154 lbs.

This project is in the initial funding stage by public contribution at the Indiegogo website. As of this writing he has about $12,000 toward his $30,000 goal. I do not know what the market will be for this project but you have to admire the creativity. The creator Mikael Kjellman plans to develop a kit based on his prototype. It is intended for home builders and small pro-builders. Mikael is a design engineer. Here is the site for the Indiegogo Funding project. The short video below shows the capabilities and possibilities of this unique vehicle.

He is an entrepreneur extraordinaire. You can search for him at Wikipedia to get a full biography of his many ventures.
