Jones Receives Award From The American Conservative Union | Eastern North Carolina Now

    WASHINGTON, D.C.     Today, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) received recognition from the American Conservative Union (ACU) for his commitment to America's Constitution and our nation's core conservative principles. Every year, the ACU Ratings Award is given out to members of the House and Senate who scored 80% or higher on a wide variety of issues important to grassroots conservatives that were voted on during the first session of the 114th Congress. Matt Schlapp, ACU Chairman, designated Jones as an ACU Conservative for 2015.

    "I take pride in representing the conservative values of my Eastern North Carolina district, and I am honored to be recognized by the American Conservative Union," said Jones.

It is the oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization in the country. The mission of the ACU is to represent the views of Americans who are concerned about liberty, traditional values, and national security.
