Press Release:

Raleigh, N.C.     The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) today launched North Carolina's GOPVets Task Force. This Task Force was formed as part of the Republican Party's military and veteran engagement program committed to recruiting more veterans to actively participate in the 2016 elections. As home to five military bases, an ocean military terminal and a U.S. Coast Guard base, North Carolina's veteran community is strong. NCGOP's GOPVets Task Force will be critical in engaging veteran voters, highlighting veterans' issues and promoting a strong national defense.

  • "From the mountains to the coast, North Carolina holds an unmatched regard for our veterans and the military. With bases gracing North Carolina's soil from nearly every branch of the military, there is nothing our Republican leaders wouldn't do to fight for our veterans and the necessary resources required for their success. Sadly, Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration have gravely taken these brave men and women for granted by underplaying the scandals at the VA. Just look at what Secretary McDonald said this week - it's disgraceful. This Task Force will serve to empower and encourage veterans across the state to jump into action this election season. Together, we'll fight to elect the leaders who will best protect the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect us." - NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes

  • State Senator Warren Daniel, Captain, U.S. Army
