Slick Willie talks about illegal immigration before it was a racist term.

Bill Clinton 1995 State of the union

Barbara Jordan (1936-1996) was a Civil Rights leader and a pioneering public servant. She was the first African-American woman elected to the Texas Senate (1966), the first woman from Texas to be elected to the U.S Congress (1973-1979), and the first African-American to deliver the keynote address at a Democratic National Convention (1976).

"Due to her stature and reputation for integrity, she was appointed chair of the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform in 1993 by President Bill Clinton, and served in that role until her death in January 1996. Jordan testified several times before Congress regarding the work and findings of the Commission. Below are quotes from Jordan’s testimony before Congress which outline her grasp of the issues surrounding immigration and highlight Congress’ continuing failure to act on the Commission’s recommendations."

Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave.” – Barbara Jordan February 24, 1995

They tried to investigate me but when you Google "Bobby Tony" you always end up at the Soprano's. It's nice to have a good cover in the witness protection program.

I have already been well investigated, and I was just notified post haste: "We give up."

I wonder why Hillary did not know about the oops mouth emoji? I guess she was never briefed on the subject.

Bobby Tony strikes again with perfect wisdom.

Of course, I say that because we usually agree on almost everything ... especially the Stars and Bars and Dixie.

I agree. The best way to defang a word or symbol is through overuse or usurping it. I have tongue in cheek advocated that the NAACP adopt Dixie as its theme song and the Stars and Bars as its flag. Perhaps then, it can be purged of all the negative connotations they find so offensive and return to just a symbol of past history in a flawed country struggling to find its way.

Heretic , rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle and took him In !"

The word "Racism" is about spent here in America as a word that has any real meaning. You can thank muddle brained Liberals for that.

Your intellectually principled life, as one who argues for the sanctity of the Republic, has not been fully realized until you have been denounced as a racist in a "discussion" with a Liberal idiot; both terms, Liberal and idiot, would be quantifiable and correct.

I once watched the double bimbo Nancy Pelosi refuse to answer a question about illegal immigration, until she had stammered out that the vernacular of this precise language was offensive to "undocumented Americans".
