NC Republican National Committeewoman, Dr. Ada Fisher, Responds to NAACP's Sickening Assertions About Black Police Officers | Eastern NC Now

RNC's Dr. Ada Fisher responds to the NAACP's "sickening" comments concerning black police officers.

ENCNow
Press Release:

  • "As a Life Member of the NAACP (since 1989), I am sickened by the organization's implications that if a law enforcement officer is to be 'black' he can't be 'blue' and a good police officer. This kind of thinking is what keeps good people of color from joining the ranks of law enforcement, depletes our communities of those resources needed to protect us, and fosters mistrust in our communities between our police and our own people. We need more black officers to bridge the racial divide and this does not help us 'Back the Blue.'
  • I urge the NAACP State Chapter and its President William Barber to immediately denounce this statement. It is also important that North Carolina's chief law enforcement officer, Attorney General Roy Cooper make clear he does not stand by this stated NAACP belief."
