Press Release:

RALEIGH, NC     The North Carolina Republican Party issues the following statement in response to Bill Clinton's latest remarks on the layered failures of Obamacare.

"For once- Bill Clinton gets it right! Obamacare is, in fact, the 'craziest thing in the world' that has resulted in devastating blows to the small business community and families who have been forced to bear the weight of their 'premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half.' In fact, in 2013 our North Carolina General Assembly and Governor passed and signed a law to protect North Carolinians from the predictable devastating consequences we are now seeing across the nation due to Obamacare. Unfortunately, the person who took an oath of office to stand up for North Carolina, hasn't shown up to work for 16 years- and refused to legally defend us from the Obama Administration's egregious overreach into the business and families in our state. Bill Clinton reminds us of Roy Cooper's incompetence, violation of his oath, and failures for the last 16 years." -Chairman Robin Hayes, North Carolina Republican Party
