Press Release:

RALEIGH, NC    The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) released the following statement on tonight's GOP debate:

  • "It's obvious Tim Kaine's North Carolina debate prep served no purpose, as Governor Mike Pence won tonight's debate handedly. Tim Kaine's performance was made up of incessant interruptions and desperately recited talking points, failing to offer insightful debate on the critical issues facing the American people. In contrast, Governor Mike Pence detailed the Trump-Pence vision for putting our nation's economy back on track, protecting the country from threats of terror, and ensuring opportunity for all. While Kaine made it clear the he and his running-mate would bring four more years of the same failed leadership like we've experienced over the last eight. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are committed to making America great again." -Chairman Robin Hayes, Chairman, North Carolina Republican Party
