No matter what happens in the election, people of faith may have to seek out a new home in the political world, podcast host Mark Shiver writes over at NC Capitol Connection.

As a guest on "What Matters in North Carolina" said, "The Republican Party is broken and will never be the vehicle conservatives need." Therefore, Shiver writes, "After the dust settles from the election, conservatives will need to do some serious soul-searching."

Also on "What Matters," legendary bluegrass and country music star Ricky Skaggs talks about his concerns about where the country is headed in regards to religion, abortion and for the principles on which our founding fathers established this country. (His segment starts right after the 33-minute mark.)

In the first part of that show, KT McFarland, national security expert and FOX News contributor, highlighted the historical importance of this election.
