MONDAY, AUGUST 20 -- There will be a meeting of the ENC Tea Party at The Mayflower Seafood Grill, in Winterville, at 6:00 pm. Guest speaker will be Pitt County's state representative (NC House district 9), Dr. Greg Murphy. He will speak about the very serious opioid epidemic. This is a very timely topic. We have a serious opioid crisis in this country and even in our state. Anyone who follows the news knows that too many of our children are dying from an opioid overdose and that something needs to be done. Of course, the first thing we need to do is learn how such drugs are falling into the hands of our children, our college students and others.

The opioid crisis is a non-partisan issue and shouldn't even be a political issue. It is a human issue. Please share this announcement. Please tell your friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, members of your church, etc and let's help educate our community.

Members and guests should begin arriving at 5:30 pm or so to order food and for some pre-meeting socializing.
