A strident anti-Kavanaugh protester named Alethea Torrellas Shapiro, apparently accompanied by two of her children, accosted Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, barking at him, "Senator Cassidy, can you please apologize to my children for ruining their futures?"

She wasn't prepared for his response.

Cassidy stopped, removed his earbuds, looked at the children, and replied, "Hey, guess what? I know your parents are using you as tools-"

‪Shapiro interjected, "No, we're not using them as tools! We're not using them as tools!"

But Cassidy finished, "- but in the future, if somebody makes an allegation against you, and there's no proof for it, you will be okay. Thank you."

The Daily Caller reports that Alethea Torrellas Shapiro posted on Facebook that she planned on "birddogging in the Senate with all 4 of my kids."
