    Mr. Jesse Walter Jackson, age 74, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday August 18, 2019 at his home.

    A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday August 21, 2019 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington and will be officiated by Bobby Owens. Pallbearers include James Rosene, Marlowe Johnson, Dallas Foreman, Jr., Jay Sheppard, Durwood Moore, Kevin Lassiter, II. Honorary Pallbearers include J.T. Sheppard and Edward Earl Horton.

    Mr. Jackson was born in Beaufort County on January 17, 1945 to the late Charlie Delmar Jackson and Nelia Waters Jackson. He was a graduate of Bath High School. Mr. Jackson worked as a Welder at PCS. On August 18, 1968, he married Elaine Moore. Mr. Jackson loved his family. He also loved Disney World. Some of his favorite things were the mountains, farming and red tractors.

    Survivors include his wife Elaine M. Jackson of the home, three children, Julie J. Rosene and husband James, Joey Jackson, Patrick Jackson, all of Washington, two granddaughters, Jessica Rosene, Amy Rosene, and a sister Ann Sheppard of Washington.

    He is preceded in death by a brother, C.D. Jackson, and a sister, Ellen Alligood.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday August 20, 2019 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
