After facing enormous backlash from people on the Left who look for virtually any reason they can find to attack him, President Donald Trump reversed course and announced on Saturday that his Doral resort in Florida will not be the site of next year's G7 conference.

He had previously said that it would be.

His facility would have cost the United States far less than other sites would cost.

Politico, The Hill and others reported the latest news late on Saturday night.

"We will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G7 in 2020," the president tweeted in part on Saturday evening.

"We will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately. Thank you!"

Democratic lawmakers had condemned the news earlier this week that Trump would host a summit of international leaders at his personal property.

Trump said the search for another location will begin "immediately" and could include Camp David.

See these other tweets from the president as he explained why he changed his decision on this.
