On Tuesday White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham decided to step down from her role with President Trump and rejoin the First Lady's office as chief of staff.

Said First Lady Melania Trump, "I am excited to welcome Stephanie back to the team in this new role. She has been a mainstay and true leader in the Administration from even before day one, and I know she will excel as Chief of Staff."

Grisham said in a statement, "I continue to be honored to serve both the President and First Lady in the Administration. My replacements will be announced in the coming days and I will stay in the West Wing to help with a smooth transition for as long as needed."

The president himself, during his daily coronavirus press briefings, has been his own best press secretary. He not only clearly answers questions but turns press attacks back on the media. Grisham's replacement will likely be in that same bulldog mold.
