Often it is better to remain silent, and thought stupid, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt

ENCNow
Often, "it is better to remain silent, and thought stupid, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

I just want to repeat a truth that I discovered a few weeks ago: If you are a politically active repeater of others' words and thoughts, and you politicize this pandemic, rather than join those that wish to defeat it, understand it completely, and then never let it happen again ... well, then YOU OWN IT.

In this representative Republic, where we still have the freedom to listen and learn and work for the greater good, if you are dishonest in your perception of this world, this Republic, and wish to rapaciously tear at the fabric of this nation, rather than be part of the solution ... well, then YOU OWN its sure and eventual demise.

If you are not smart, maybe a tad stupid, just keep your mouth shut. It is an easy thing to do. I even practice it from time to time. I especially practice to it even when I know the answers, or at least the better part of the answers, but the time is not right to speak, and the subject is one that does not merit random talk.

I do this often ... I say nothing, and I do it on camera, in meetings, and I wait until the time is right, or at least for the better time to act, to speak.

I am not asking you to be like me, but, if all you have is a 4 year degree, or are an even greater over-educated-know-it-all with a head full of Fake News propaganda, I humbly ask you to think for yourself a bit before you open your mouth to speak on issues that may clearly prove to be well beyond your capacity to understand.

With so much on the line right now for our Republic, with our People in such an intellectual disarray that is now too much to ask ... now is it?

Postscript: At some point very soon, there will be a large discussion, probably a rant or two as well, on the subject of "The Memorial of George Floyd and the Useful Idiots" ... Wait for it, but this here now.
