Is it safe to reopen schools? The experience of European countries which have already reopened, or in some cases never closed, their schools says YES. They have experienced NO "second wave" of coronavirus. The Wall Street Journal has surveyed education and health officials of the countries involved and find the same experience in each

Finland, Austria, Germany, Norway, Denmark, and Switzerland have had their schools reopened for a month or longer. Latvia and Sweden never closed them.

Professor Herman Goossens, a medical microbiologist, and pandemic coordinator of the European Union, said the main reason for no outbreaks at schools is because children have fewer ACE2 receptors the virus uses to enter the body.
