We commend Lt. Gov. Forest for taking this action. The Republican Leadership in the Legislature has claimed "it will do no good to sue Cooper because the courts will just fall in line behind him." Forest may face that very stonewall but so be it. He is doing the right thing. If he takes it to the Supreme Court and they play politics with it then that in and of itself is worth the suit. It could have a significant impact on the the judicial races if they don't uphold the law. Kudos to Lt. Gov. Forest.
