    Mrs. Myrna Ruth Walls Edwards Cadwell, age 88, a resident of the Gilead Shores Community died Wednesday November 11, 2020 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday November 14, 2020 at Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church and will be officiated by Pastor Michael Hill.

    Myrna was born July 24, 1932 in Beaufort County to the late Mary Edna Lewis Walls and Thurman Theodore Walls. She was the wife of George Harold Cadwell, Jr. for 46 years. Myrna was an active member of Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church where she worshipped and served the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years helping serve her church family and community.

    Survivors include her children, Mona Joy Edwards Fleming of Blounts Creek, Deborah E. Clark (Mike) of Blounts Creek, Peggy Bright (Frankie) of Chocowinity, Mike Edwards (Dale) of Blounts Creek; step-children, Elizabeth A. Cadwell of St. Petersburg, FL, Cathy Cadwell Wells (Greg) of Fort Worth, TX, John F. Cadwell, Covington, GA, Charles H. Cadwell (Cindy) of Raleigh; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Myrna was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Cadwell, Jr., her parents, Mary Edna Walls, Thurman Theodore Walls; a brother, Donald Walls; two sons, Danny Drew Edwards, Gregory Dale Edwards and one stepson, George H. Cadwell, III.

    The family will receive friends Saturday November 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church.
