Biden disbanded State Dept.'s Crisis Response Bureau months before Afghan fiasco | Eastern NC Now

Would have been useful for Afghanistan response but Biden closed it

ENCNow

Biden disbanded the State Department's unit responsible for coordinating logistics in a crisis like the ongoing Afghanistan debacle, and he did it just months before the Afghanistan withdrawal.  The Crisis Response Bureau within the State Department had been created in the aftermath of Obama's Benghazi debacle in Libya where the US ambassador and others were killed.  The idea was to cut through the red tape and get some quick solutions when such problems arose.  It likely would have been useful in helping deal with the ongoing problems in Afghanistan if Biden had not closed it just a few months ago.

This is just another of the many Biden blunders in this debacle that have made the problem much worse.
