Greece completes border wall on Turkey border to keep out Muslim migrants | Beaufort County Now | Turkey is building its own wall on Iranian border to stop migrants

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Greece's conservative government has now completed a border wall on its land border with Turkey to stop illegal alien migrants.  The design is much like President Trump's wall with tall bollards.  The wall is also equipped with electronic devices to monitor activity as much as nine miles into Turkey.

Greece's Minister of Citizen Protection also announced that the order had gone out from the Prime Minister to the armed forces, national police, and local police to defend the borders   "Our borders will remain secure and inviolable. . . and we will not allow any attempt to violate them," he pledged.

This comes ahead of an expected migrant surge from Afghanistan.  The previous Socialist government had allowed over a million Muslim migrants into Greece on their way to Europe in 2015.

Bulgaria, the other European country that shares a land border with Turkey completed a very robust border wall years ago, and their border wall was not penetrated during the 2015 migrant crisis.

Turkey itself has so far completed about a third of a border wall on its border with Iran to stop illegal alien migrants, mostly coming from Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan.

60,000 of those illegal alien Muslim migrants are still in Greece and they are a problem. An example from a few months ago was a 25 year old pregnant Greek woman raped by an Afghan and when she pleaded for help, three Pakistanis came over and all raped her, too.
