Conservative NFL great Herschel Walker running for US Senate in Georgia | Eastern NC Now

Walker was urged to run by President Trump

ENCNow

Former NFL great and conservative Republican Herschel Walker has made it official and announced his candidacy for US Senate in Georgia.  Walker is seeking the seat currently occupied by far left Senator Raphael Warnock, making the general election the first Senate race in the south where both major party candidates are black.  Walker was originally urged to run for the seat by President Trump.

Walker still may have to face a primary from the GOP establishment, as his candidacy does not sit well with RINO Senate leader "China Mitch" McConnell, who a few years ago vowed "to crush them [conservatives] everywhere".  McConnell has been trying to find an establishment Republican to primary Walker.
