90 retired generals, admirals demand Austin and Milley resign | Eastern NC Now

Ninety retired generals and admirals have written a letter demanding the resignations of General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin over their roles in the incompetent Afghan withdrawal that left hundreds of American citizens behind.  Milley and Austin are noted for tilting at windmills like climate alarmism and "woke" notions of "white supremacy" while not focusing on their real jobs in effectively running our military.  That was on full display in the Afghanistan fiasco.  Milley has even boasted to Congress about how he has read Marx, Lenin, and Mao but has never said anything about reading our own founding fathers.

Milley has acknowledgedthat he approved one of the most incompetent decisions in the whole affair, the July 9 abrupt abandonment of the Bagram air base in the middle of the night, without even telling out Afghan allies.  That base would have been a much stronger point from which to manage the evacuation, and its sudden abandonment undercut the morale of the Afghan army.

This pair of woke incompetents (or worse) badly need to go.
