Biden approval rating crashes to 39 percent in new poll | Eastern NC Now

A new poll for British news magazine The Economist shows Biden's approval rating among likely US voters crashing to 39% while 49% disapprove.  There were more people disapproving of Biden's performance on a wide range of individual issues as well, including his handling of the coronavirus.  The poll was conducted by major UK-based polling firm YouGov.

Meanwhile in the Virginia governor's race that is to be voted on in November of this year, the latest poll gives a four point lead to Republican political newcomer Glenn Youngkin over former Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe.

On Monday, US Rep. Chuck Edwards, R-NC11, was found in violation of the House Code of Official Conduct by the House Ethics Committee, regarding the prohibition of sexual harassment, resulting in calls for him to be censured.
