Virginia governor's race a tossup - Washington Post poll says | Eastern NC Now

Youngkin and McAuliffe statistically tied

ENCNow

Virginia voters will go to the polls in seven weeks to elect a new governor, and yet another poll shows the race a dead hear, unusual in Democrat leaning Virginia.  This time it is the Democrat friendly Washington Post poll that shows Republican political newcomer Glenn Youngkin and former Democrat governor Terry McAuliffe within the margin of error.  Among likely voters, the poll has McAuliffe at 50% and Youngkin at 47%, within the poll's 4.5 point margin of error.  As with other polls, the results also show high GOP voter enthusiasm and low enthusiasm among Democrat voters.
