Mrs. Paula Angel Ayers, age 74, a resident of Terrapin Track Road, Washington, went home to her Heavenly Father and husband Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville with her daughters by her side.

    Mrs. Paula Angel Ayers, age 74, a resident of Terrapin Track Road, Washington, went home to her Heavenly Father and husband Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville with her daughters by her side.

    Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 19. 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington, conducted by Pastor Gary Bateman.

    The family will receive friends at her home, 4307 Terrapin Track Road, Washington and following the service at the graveside.

    Mrs. Ayers was born in Beaufort county on October 16, 1946. She was the daughter of the late William Frank Angel and Edna Lee Hedgepeth Angel. Mrs. Ayers was a retired lead person and picker at National Spinning. She was a member of Alligood Church of God. In her spare time, Mrs. Ayers enjoyed going to resale shops, visiting people, calling folks on the phone, and being with her family and grandchildren.

    Mrs. Ayers was married to Willie Dave Ayers for 52 years. Mr. Ayers preceded her in death, April 13, 2014.

    Mrs. Ayers is survived by two daughters, Paula Michelle Ayers Waters and husband, Ben, Bobbie Jean Ayers Woolard and husband, Mike all of Washington; granddaughters, Madison Riggs (James Cadle), Brittany Riggs (Marquest Jackson), Allie Jean Woolard; great grandson, Davian Jackson; step grandsons, Mason Barnes, Benjamin Waters, Jr.; step granddaughters, Samantha Barnes, Kelsey Waters; sister, Amy Angel Boyd of Washington; two nephews, Caden Angel of Morehead City, Naron Woolard of Washington; great niece Kenzie Grace Woolard; great nephew, William Brayden Woolard and best friend, Betty Lou Sutton.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by a nephew, Kenneth Ray Woolard, Jr. and her dog, Maggie.
