Brits want referendum on gov't CO2 reduction plans | Eastern NC Now

According to a new poll by major UK pollster YouGov, the British people are opposed to their politicians ramming a climate alarmist plan down their throats to impose "net zero" CO2 by 2050 without giving them a say in a referendum.  In the only European country to conduct such a referendum, Switzerland, citizens in June voted down the government proposal to restrict CO2.

While opposition is growing among Conservative Party backbenchers, Prime Minister Boris Johnson still has cabinet support for his radical plan to impose net zero emissions by 2050, largely by using intermittent and unreliable wind and solar.  Many blame Johnson's longtime mistress and recent wife, climate alarmist activist Carrie Symonds, who has been nicknamed "Princess Nut-Nut" for pushing Johnson to the hard left on this issue.

The poll showed particularly strong opposition to the green energy scheme and demand for a referendum among a very key group of swing voters, the working class pro-Brexit voters in the north of England. These are the voters who handed Johnson a landslide victory in the last parliamentary election, and now Johnson wants to push them away from the Conservative Party. 

Of those who expressed an opinion in the poll on demanding a referendum on the CO2 net zero scheme, 58% supported the call for a referendum of the people while 42% opposed.  Among the working class pro-Brexit voters, 66% demanded a referendum.

Everywhere they have been implemented, these green energy schemes cause electric rates to skyrocket and power reliability to crater.  The UK is already seeing the impact on electric consumers of this scheme, and indeed so is most of continental Europe.

In Switzerland 24 of the 28 cantons voted down the government's proposal to limit CO2 in June.  The campaign against the CO2 limits was led by the conservative Swiss Peoples Party, the largest party in parliament.

North Carolina has had a similar scheme forced upon us by corrupt RINO Senate and House leaders who used dishonest sleight of hand to surrender to leftist governor Roy Cooper on the Green New Deal, and do a last minute rewrite of legislation which was rammed through with little notice to impose this on us.  Not only did our citizens not get a referendum, but they did not even get proper notice of what was being done to them in HB951 so they could organize against it.

Politicians who are in bed with the crooked Climate-Industrial Complex need to be voted out of office around the world.  If not, we will not be able to afford our power bills.
