Paul Ryan's 2012 "Path to Prosperity," An instructive analysis | Eastern North Carolina Now

   I read Paul Ryan's 2012 "Path to Prosperity." (which was voted by the House). I read all 99 pages. I have summarized its key points in both a word document and in chart form (here below). The Chart compares Ryan's plan side-by-side with Obama's proposed budget plan.

    The word document ("Paul Ryan's Plan, Obamacare, War on Women") is a composite document designed to help conservatives with talking points on all that will be part of public discussion - the national debt, Ryan's Plan, Obama's plan, Obamacare, and Obama's war on women (or as he sees it, the GOP's war on women). The talking points might help with those stubborn liberals who think Obama walks on water.

    The bigger discussion and debate will be how to get our government back to constitutional limits. But that doesn't seem part of this current dialogue between Romney and Obama. The economy and our financial solvency seems to be at issue, and the concerns on ordinary folks' minds are the economy, jobs, taxes, and the security and integrity of safety net programs that they have paid into and which they are counting on when they retire.
