Japan is latest success story for Ivermectin to treat Covid | Eastern NC Now

following Africa and India

Japan is the latest success story for the use of anti-parasitic drug Ivermectin against Covid.  Both new infections and deaths from Covid have dropped dramatically since Ivermectin entered widespread use for treatment early in the course of Covid infections.  It has also been shown to be useful as a Covid preventative, but is not effective when Covid reaches later stages of the disease.  The effectiveness of Ivermectin has also been shown in Africa and India.  Ivermectin has been used for years to fight parasitic diseases and has no side effects.

The chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association, Dr. Hauro Ozaka, got the ball rolling with a press conference declaring that Ivermectin was a drug that had to be used to fight Covid.  He noted the extremely wide difference in Covid infections and deaths between African countries that have long widely distributed Ivermectin as a preventative of parasitic diseases and those that did not do so.

In the US, the medical establishment has long fought against the use of both Ivermectin and Hydrochloraquin, although both have been proven effective against Covid in other countries and by the US doctors who do use them to fight Covid.  In Beaufort County, no doctor associated with the Vidant organization will prescribe either, and no chain pharmacy will dispense it even if you get a prescription.  Telemedicine offers opportunities to get a prescription, as do a handful of independent doctors in the area.  A few independent pharmacies in the area will fill the prescriptions.
