Position on Mitch McConnell is issue in Senate primaries | Eastern North Carolina Now

Controversial GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell has found himself to be an issue in at least four GOP US Senate primaries so far, as GOP primary contenders openly campaign on removing him from his leadership position.  McConnell has led a group of establishment Republicans in several key votes to save Biden's radical political agenda and that is not sitting well with many Republican voters who regard McConnell as a traitor.

The frontrunners for the GOP nominations in Alabama and Alaska, Congressman Mo Brooks and former Alaska cabinet official Kelly Tshibaka have openly called for McConnell's ouster, as has former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens who is in a tight three way race for the nomination.  Oklahoma businessman Jackson Lahmeyer, who is running for the Senate there has also called for McConnell's removal.  Lahmeyer has a wide lead in fundraising for the open seat, but there is not yet any polling.

Hopefully, our conservative candidate for the GOP nomination in NC will also openly come out for McConnell's removal.
