If we measured inflation like in 1982, it would be 15% today | Eastern NC Now

We are often told that US inflation is the worst since 1982, but what they neglect to tell us is that the the way inflation is measured has changed since 1982.  If we still measured inflation the same way as in 1982, it would be calculated at 15% today and the worst in America's history.  Government has quite simply moved the goalposts, and they are about to do it again.  Beginning next year, they will again change how they measure inflation, and magically, the number they cite will almost certainly be lower.  Such is the smoke and mirrors we are getting from our government.
