    When you get right down to it, two years of COVID-19 and the government intrusion that has gone along with it, has led to what CNBC dubs a "winter of discontent."

    They're right. Yet, Arthur Brooks, former president of AEI, sees a hopeful sign in migration data. He notes that people are moving away from big-government, higher-tax states, looking for life that is more normal.

    My take: Sometimes, what's happening isn't as complicated as we make it out to be. Right now, normal life sounds pretty darn good.
