Federal agents were at the home of Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) on Wednesday evening conducting official law enforcement activity, according to local media.

The FBI did not state what they were doing at the residence other than "conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity."

"The FBI cannot provide further comment on an ongoing investigation," FBI spokesperson Rosanne Hughes said.

Cuellar's office released a statement on Wednesday night, saying, "Congressman Cuellar will fully cooperate in any investigation. He is committed to ensuring that justice and the law are upheld."

Investigative reporter Valerie Gonzalez tweeted out photographs from the residence, writing: "FBI still present at the home of Rep. Henry Cuellar's in Laredo."

"Agents are still in and around the home. Some more showed up a few moments ago. Can't see what's happening inside but some agents came outside with a clipboard and camera to snap pics of the two trucks out front," she added. "Not sure if anyone is home, but the dogs are watching."
