Quebec responds to truckers - announces Vaxx mandate rollbacks | Eastern NC Now
unvaxxed tax is dead, more rollbacks to follow
Quebec has become the second Canadian province to announce rollbacks of their restrictive Covid policies in response to the Truckers for Freedom movement. Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced that a proposed tax on unvaccinated citizens is being immediately withdrawn, and the provincial government will be announcing further rollbacks of Covid restrictions during the month of February. "It is time to rebuild bridges," Legault said "It is time to work together".

Quebec follows Saskatchewan, whose premier has endorsed the Truckers for Freedom movement and announced rollbacks of his province's Covid restrictions.
Quebec is governed by a conservative-leaning Quebec nationalist party, the CAC.

Now the leaders of the provinces of Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia have announced they plan rollbacks of virus restrictions, as the premiers of Quebec and Saskatchewan have already announced.
