New wind drought plagues Europe's energy prices | Eastern North Carolina Now

depending on fickle wind turbines shown to be risky and expensive

ENCNow

A major slowdown of wind speeds in late Summer and through much of Fall in Europe wrecked havoc with energy prices as the output of wind turbines fell sharply, requiring more use of gas as a backup and depleting gas supplies, thus raising gas prices, too. Now, in late winter, a new wind drought has appeared in Europe, threatening more price increases as wind output again falls dramatically.  National Review tells the story:

The unreliability of wind and solar is likely the reason that the British government has now launched a major study on rationing of electricity.

Unfortunately, the special interest politicians in Raleigh, including far left Governor Roy Cooper and RINO House Speaker Tim Moore and RINO Senate President Phil Berger, have set North Carolina up for the same disaster, with their Green New Deal HB 951 increasing NC's dependence on fickle wind and solar and greatly reducing cheap and dependable coal.  The RINO politicians thumbed their noses at the NCGOP platform which calls for energy decisions to be made on the basis of reliability and cost, not ideology, and instead brownnosed special interests like "woke" energy monopoly Duke Energy and the wind and solar grifters.
