''China Mitch" McConnell signals he will interfere in GOP primaries | Eastern North Carolina Now

Several years ago, Mitch McConnell, speaking of conservatives, vowed to "crush them everywhere".  Now, he is back on the same warpath, telling the New York Times he will work to stop what he calls "unelectable goofballs" from winning nominations.

Maybe McConnell should look at his own candidates when he uses that term "unelectable goofballs".  A good example is right here in North Carolina where Pat McCrory has blown two out of three statewide races he has run.  Both of the other major candidates have never lost an election and won Congressional nominations in primaries where they were political newcomers challenging established political powerhouses.

Another good example is the 2016 Senate race in Colorado.  Grassroots favorite, dynamic black conservative county commissioner Daryl Glenn overwhelmingly won the vote at the GOP state convention for the nomination, the only candidate with enough convention votes to make the primary ballot that way.  McConnell's candidate, a state senator got on the primary ballot by petition.  In the primary, Glenn won in a landslide and McConnell's "electable" candidate ran a distant fourth.  Post primary polls showed a competitive general election, but McConnell in a snit publicly announced he was abandoning Colorado and would not be helping Glenn, which hurt Glenn's fundraising, and led to his loss.

McConnell has been helping Biden win a number of key votes in the Senate, and has appalling ties to Red China.  He needs to be dumped as GOP Senate leader.  Several GOP Senate candidates this year have already called for that.

North Carolina does not need a swamp Republican like McCrory, who would probably lose in the general election, but if he got up there would be brown nosing McConnell.

My answer to the utterly despicable Mitch McConnell is NEVER NEVER NEVER MCCRORY. Not is a primary, and not in a general election either. Unelectable goofball McCrory is a bridge too far.
